CHALLENGE #45 - STARS IN YOUR EYES

Well it's challenge time again over at Let's Craft and Create and this fortnight is "Stars in Your Eyes".

I have made this tri fold card and you can find a tutorial for the card by clicking here.

I used a digi image called  Lil Rocker Luka.  You can click here to find him at La La Land Crafts.  I used the spellbinders plain and scalloped squares to cut him out and  then coloured him in using colouring pencils.  I embellished with stars.

CHALLENGE #44 - SPECIAL OCCASION

Well it is challenge time again and also another month is here, it will be christmas again before we know where we are.

This fortnights challenge is Special Occasion over at Let's Craft and Create.
For this challenge it could be Birthday, Baby, Mother's Day, Wedding or any other theme but I have decided on Graduation.
For this card I used Verity  the Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable digi image.
For the sentiment I personalised it for a friend's daughter.
I used the Spellbinders Moroccan die for the doily and added little pearl rhinestones.  I made a graduation cap from black card.

Bee Card

I thought I would try and make something a bit different and came up with this bee card.
I used different spellbinder die shapes to make him.

make him.  I used the face on the template for my card but you could draw or print your own.  For his cheeks I used chalk.

Birthday Card

This is a very cute birthday card.  You can download Teatime Teddy at Cuddly Buddly by clicking here.  I decorated with ribbon, little paper roses, a little charm and kindyglitz.

Selection of Men's Cards

Whether a hunter or fisherman these cards are made for their special day.
I think the images are just perfect and added buttons and bling to decorate.

Gift Cards

I have been busy making a few cards here are some little gift cards.
I used a little clear stamp from Inkadinkadoo called butterfly scroll.
I coloured them in  and added little rhinestones.

CHALLENGE #43 - SENTIMENT

This fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft and Create is Sentiment.

I made this Sympathy card which I think fits in well.

I used the Spellbinder cross die and a verse I found.

Shoe Card

Here is my latest card.  I was asked to make this for a friend for her Mum who 
is going to have an operation soon.
I found the template here at Shirley's Cards.   I embellished with rhinestones and a little paper rose.

CHALLENGE #42 - SHAPED CARD

For our shaped card challenge over at Let's Craft and Create this time I have made a Teacup.  I found the template at Splitcoasters and you can get it here.

I used ribbon from Ribbon Girl and coloured in the Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable digi image Verity which you can get from Funky Kits.  I used a doily and added the little teapot charm.  The little teabag is attached with string.  I also used the spellbinder blossom dies.

CHALLENGE #41 - COLOUR INSPIRATION

Our challenge this time is using a photo and colour palette from Photo Card Boutique

This is what I came up with for this challenge.  I coloured this digi image which is Victoria from the Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable set.  You can get her from Funky Kits.

CHALLENGE #40 - BUTTONS AND BOWS

Here we are again, another fortnight gone, the weeks are just flying by.

I have made a couple of baby cards for this challenge, one for a girl and one for a boy.
I used papers from Kaisercraft Lullaby Collection.  The digi stamp is from Sugar Nellie and is called 'Bambino'.   I coloured in the image using Jovi Crayons.
I used a Marianne Creatables die to cut the shape around the image. 

CHALLENGE #39 - LESS IS MORE

Well the weeks are flying by again and for this fortnight's challenge we have chosen Less is More over at Let's Craft and Create.


I have chosen this Sympathy Card.  I used a stamp from Inkadinkadoo and kept it very plain.  I added some black ribbon down the side and pearl rhinestones.

Girls Birthday Card

I made this cute card and embellished it with rhinestones and roses.  The background card is from The Mariposa Matstack which I love using.   I made the sentiment using word.  

Sympathy Card

This time I've used the Stampendous Agapanthus Stamp.   The tag is a Spellbinders Label.   I embellshed with black ribbon and black and white rhinestones.

Clean and Simple

My latest cards are clean and simple.  I have used stamps from 

Inkadinkadoo which can be found here.

After stamping the card I coloured the little bird and added red ribbon.

The words are computer generated and are  Lucida Calligraphy.

I stamped this card then coloured the bird and flowers and added little pink rhinestones.   The words were also computer generated and are Black Chancery.

CHALLENGE #38 - FLOWER POWER

This time I have this girls card which I used for a Birthday Card for my daughter.   I added a little heart doily, lace, felt hearts and little mulberry pink roses.  The heart pin, charm and ribbon were added as extra decoration.

CHALLENGE #37 - VALENTINE

This fortnight's challenge over at Let's Craft and Create is Valentine. 
For this I made this little box and filled it with Cadbury's Chocolates.

I cut hearts out of card and cork using the spellbinders plain and scalloped hearts.  I added ribbon, paper rose and a pin to decorate. 

Valentine's Day

For Valentines I have made this little heart bag and filled it with Cadbury's Chocolates.  
I cut hearts using the spellbinders plain and scalloped hearts out of white and red card.  The centre heart was cut from cork and I added the little paper rose in the centre.   I embossed the bag with the cuttlebug hearts folder.

Wedding Card

Well I have made all the cards I had orders for.  Here is the latest one I have made.

I used pearl cardstock.  I scored the card and added hearts.  The cuttlebug fanciful labels are really nice.  I have personalised the card with their names and wedding date.

Wedding Card

I was asked to make this wedding card by a relation for a wedding they are going to soon.

I used pearl card to make it and added spellbinders plain and scalloped hearts embossed with the craft concept budding vine folder.   I added ribbon, the little silver rings and pearl rhinestones.

Sympathy Card

I have just finished making this card for my husband's uncle who passed away on the 11th Jan.
He was a good old age and a really nice man.  I used the craft concept embossing folder and added a ezcut butterfly.

CHALLENGE #36 - BUTTERFLIES

For our latest challenge over at Let's Craft and Create I have made this card which was very simple.  I have used card from The Mariposa Matstack which are just gorgeous.  I added lace, butterfly, rose, pin and tag. 

Birthday Card

A new year and birthday's start all over again.

Here is a card for the man who loves fishing.  I have added the real fishing fly to decorate this card along with a printed image of the fish.

CHALLENGE #35 - ANYTHING GOES

For our latest challenge over at Let's Craft and Create I have shared a card I made for our friends Wedding Anniversary last month.

I used silver glitter card and made this Bookfold card.

I used the spellbinders labels to make it look like a book.

Christmas Cards 2011

Here are my 2011 Christmas Cards that I sent to family and friends.

I kept them plain and simple using embossing folders, the cuttlebug ice crystal snow flake and marianne pointsettia dies.  I used silver and gold card along with ribbon to match.

Challenge #34 - Round and Round

I have made this card for my Aunty who's  son is turning 50 early next year.
He loves fishing so decided to make this fishing card for him.  


I printed the rod from clipart,  added a real fishing fly and used a round sentiment for this challenge.

CHALLENGE #33 - TRIM THE TREE

I have started making my christmas cards and have entered two of them in our latest challenge over at Let's Craft and Create.

The cuttlebug christmas tree embossing folder is one of my favourites.  I have added pearl rhinestones and ribbon.  The wording is computer generated and is Black Chancery.

The cuttlebug embossing folder is from the Winter Wonderland set and embellished with pearl rhinestones and the tree is a diecut decorated with silver rhinestones.  I have added white ribbon and a bow.

CHALLENGE - #32 REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

The background is from The Mariposa Matstack.  I made the flower using the cuttlebug quilling rose kit and reused an old gold button for the centre.

I added ribbon, string, a little tea dyed gift tag and the little wooden ladybird peg.  I also added some old lace I found in my stash.

Last Family Birthday for the Year

Well the year has flown by again and my daugher turned 13 on Saturday.
This is the card I made for her.  Joy is from Sugar Nellie Adorables stamp set and I think she is just gorgeous.  I used the spellbinders plain and lacey circles, the spellbinders edgeabilities for the lace border and embellished with lace, pearl rhinestones, ribbon, pin and paper roses.

CHALLENGE #31 - ANNIVERSARY

This is my entry for this fortnightly challenge over at Let's Craft and Create.
I made this for a friend for his wife a couple of weeks ago.


I used the spellbinders plain and scalloped hearts along with ribbon, pearl rhinestones, ribbon roses and a white flower with pearl stamens and a feather.

CHALLENGE #30 - ONE FOR THE KIDS

I made this card using papers Rosies Transit Lounge Paper for the background.
The boy is from the Bugaboo Digi Stamp range which can be found here.
I added a little charm and printed the sentiment in word using the Just Act Casual font.  I embellished with a little truck charm and button.

Baby Card

I've had a run of cards to make for friends and here is another baby girl card.
I used papers from Kaisercraft Lullaby Collection.   I printed the image and used the spellbinders label dies.  I embellished with pearl rhinestones, ribbon, kindyglitz and lace.

Birthday Card

My son loves riding his dirtbike, at his mates farm.  I thought it would be nice to make a birthday card like this for him.
The years seems to have flown by, I remember when he was just a baby.

Sympathy Card

I always think white cards look great and had to make another sympathy card today.  I have used the Crafts Concept Dandelion Whispers embossing folder. 
I added pearl rhinestones and ribbon to decorate and used the swiss dots embossing folder also.

Baby Card

Tomorrow my daughter's teacher is leaving to have a baby.   I used these colours so will suit a boy or a girl.   I used my spellbinders plain and scalloped squares for the image, made the baby sentiment in word and added some lace, charm and ribbon to decorate it.

CHALLENGE #29 - FUN WITH FELT

Join our latest challenge over at Let's Craft and Create - Fun With Felt.


This 1st birthday card was fun to make.  I cut the number one from felt and also the lacey circle.  I made the sentiment in word which you can find how to do on my tutorial page.   I used ribbon, tatty ted and a little teddy charm to embellish.

Sympathy Card

I have just made this sympahty card using the Crafts Concept Dandelion Whispers embossing folder.  The swallow is cut using a Sizzix die.
Words are computer generated using the Baroque Script font.
I have embellised with black ribbon and pearl rhinestones.

Birthday Card

This is the card I made for my mother-in-laws birthday today.  I used papers from My Mind's Eye.  The large butterfly is from Spellbinders Fanciful Flight Dies.  The flowers are made using a Marianne Creatable die and the small butterfly is a EZ Cut Die.  Pearl rhinestones, little paper roses, lace and doilies are used.  For the round dome flower I used a polystyrene ball cut in half.  I added the punched flowers using a pearl headed pin as the centre of each one.

CHALLENGE #28 - HOW CHARMING

For our latest challenge over at Let's Craft and Create I have made a couple
of baby cards. The first is a Waterfall Card for a baby girl.  You can find it here at Sam Cards. I embellished with a little teddy bear charm, rhinestones and ribbon.

The second is a baby boy card.  The image is Bear in the Air from Cuddly Buddly.  I also used a teddy bear charm, rhinestones and ribbon on this one to decorate.

CHALLENGE #27 - BLAST FROM THE PAST

(Say it with flowers, Anything but a card)

Our challenge blog over at Let's Craft and Create is celebrating it's 1st Birthday on 1st September.  To celebrate we thought it would be fun to revisit our previous challenges, all 26 of them and choose your favourite one.  You could combine a few just as I have done on my project above.

I have made little makeup mirrors which are plain and simple.

For the heart I have used Karen Foster Design paper and decorated with a little paper rose and gorgeous little handbag charm.

The flower one I used paper from My Mind's Eye and added little paper roses.
